Hashonic/Help/Returns and Buyer Protection

Returns and Buyer Protection

Clear guidance for resolving an order issue, arranging a return, and understanding seller return preferences.

1. When this policy applies

This policy applies to eligible orders placed and paid for through Hashonic checkout. It explains Hashonic's marketplace process alongside the seller's return preference shown on the listing.

Nothing in this policy removes rights that apply by law. Where a seller is acting as a business, buyers may have additional consumer rights that cannot be limited by a marketplace or seller policy.

2. Issues covered by Buyer Protection

Buyer Protection may be available where the order:

  • does not arrive or is confirmed lost in transit;
  • arrives damaged in transit; or
  • is significantly not as described in the listing, including material undisclosed defects or missing included items.

Small differences that do not materially affect use, or wear and defects clearly shown or described in the listing, may not qualify.

3. Change-of-mind returns

If the item matches its listing but is no longer wanted, does not suit the buyer, or is the wrong fit, the seller decides whether to accept a return unless applicable law requires otherwise. A seller's preference may be shown in the listing's Return policy section.

Agree any discretionary return through Hashonic messages before sending an item back.

4. How to raise an issue

  1. Open the relevant order from Orders.
  2. Select Request refund and explain what happened.
  3. Include clear photos of the item, packaging, damage, missing parts, or the discrepancy with the listing where relevant.
  4. Keep all communication and any agreed resolution in Hashonic.

Raise an issue promptly and before confirming that the order is satisfactory. The order page will show any applicable action window.

5. Return shipping and condition

For a change-of-mind return, the buyer normally pays return postage unless the seller agrees otherwise. For an eligible issue, the parties and Hashonic will review the circumstances before deciding whether a return is required and how costs are handled.

If a return is agreed, use tracked shipping where available, package the item securely, and return all accessories and items that formed part of the order. Do not use, alter, or further damage the item beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.

6. Refund outcomes

Depending on the evidence and agreement reached, an outcome may be a full refund, a partial refund with the buyer keeping the item, a return for refund, or confirmation that the order matches its listing. Any approved refund is processed back through the original checkout route where possible.

7. Seller return preferences

Sellers can state an additional return preference on a listing, for example whether they are open to discretionary returns and any reasonable conditions. A seller preference cannot reduce Buyer Protection for eligible issues or override rights that apply by law.

8. If you cannot resolve it with the seller

Use the refund request on the order first, then email support@hashonic.com with the order number and the evidence already shared. Do not send an item to an address outside the agreed process or move payment and communication off-platform.
